With only two weeks to go before the special election we need to step up our efforts to ensure that strong Democrats like Dan Quart are elected to office. I am organizing a night of phonebanking on behalf of Dan Quart, the Democratic candidate for the 73rd Assembly District. Please join me this Thursday from 6-9 PM to help spread the word about Dan’s campaign.

The phone bank is located at Dan’s campaign headquarters at 198 East 76th Street (between Lexington and 3rd Avenues). Look for the door with a big “Dan Quart for Assembly” poster. Did you know that as of August 11th, when candidates most recently had to disclose their finances, Republican Paul Niehaus’s cash-on-hand was within $4,000 of Democrat Dan Quart’s? Attending a fundraiser or making a donation may very well be the difference between victory and defeat.

This Wednesday, August 31st, Al Benninghoff will be hosting a young professionals fundraiser for Dan Quart at The Volstead. Regular tickets are only $25 and special guests include our very own Assemblyman Micah Kellner and State Senator Liz Krueger. So if you’re young, or just young at heart, come by for what promises to be a good evening in support of a great man.

Dan hasn’t stopped hitting the pavement every day reaching out to everyone he meets. There’s only two weeks left, and you can help by joining in and helping the campaign at these times:

Dan’s people have phonebanks set up every day from now until the election, running all day long. If you’ve got a little time to spare, your help would be greatly appreciated. Call sheets, phones, scripts, and everything else you might need are all available when you arrive.

Phonebanking opens at 11am each day and runs until 9 pm on Sunday through Thursday, and until 6pm on Friday and Saturday. It’s held each day at the campaign office, located at 198 E 76th St, between 3rd and Lexington. Volunteers are always welcome.

One of the best times you could stop by is in the evenings after the campaign’s interns have gone home; that’s always when they need the most volunteers. Specifically, the campaign is asking for people at these times:
